Leave It At That Poem by Kate Kate

Leave It At That

I'm sorry I touched you there I didn't mean to
I just wanted to see how it would be
Being stripes and bumble flees
Cat shoes and power feet flip me over
And you're mad
And I'm sorry

But the whispering bucket is telling me a secret
I just had to listen
I'm sorry I interrupted your yelling.

I'm sorry I touched you at all
But I always wish to feel
The orange maroon and golden teal.
Green beans with peas inside are my every reason for doing all this
And I'm sorry
That you sometimes want to hit me

But the whispering bucket is telling me a secret
I just had to listen
I'm sorry I interrupted your yelling

If you want I can tell you the secret
But promise it will make your face black again
The redness always worrys me, I want it to go away
So the buckets dear secret can spread through out your ear
Like an ear of corn dips into spilled milk

'The leaping butterfly with its legs so shaven, will soon split into three
The frog that wants to fall will only rise and remain a toad
The kissing children will be whacked by the swinging tree limb
You two can sing a song and leave it at that'
