Leaves Poem by Sara Jenkins

Leaves

I walk through the leaves in a cool fall breeze,
Through a path of happiness,
Under the stars i walk alone with Jesus,

A leaf so frail, so small, and withered flutters in the wind,
With a loop and twist, and a turn and jump,
The leaf reaches its end,

A leaf so strong, so large, and colored,
Troubled and worried of what to come,
A wind so strong, so frisk, and long, that blows and blows all day long,

The leaf so strong becomes so weak, so colored and now colorless,
Though the two leaves have their own paths,
And the wind being strong,

A starry sky in a lonely night, the cool breeze blows,
And the leaves flutter and circle the night,
Under the bright moon light.
