(leaving) . Poem by Zelda Gin

(leaving) .

oh dear, please save your word
let's go to the sea
or find an oak tree
to bury
skeleton in closet
sing those pains to bed
kiss madness goodbye
so through long nights
you no longer hide
or weep
then no gist
keep you from leaving.

my eyelids have been shutting
hydrophilic
the oak still slowly breathes
waiting for you.
