Leaving Poem by Richard Trembath

Leaving

Leaving…?
Once you are over the horizon
It matters not.
Sight is sight,
Touch is touch.
Once I can no longer see you
Or touch you,
Distance is irrelevant.
Love can stretch as far as
It needs to.
Love goes where you go,
Distance does not diminish it.
Love remains…
And waits.
