(leaving Me) With A Gloom Poem by Rich Downes

(leaving Me) With A Gloom

Rating: 2.7

Now I notice how things pass by when a love of mine never stays
Stuck with a feeling that I'll never reach my home base.
Just trying to work out what you couldn't yet comprehend.
Time goes by so slowly when love seems to be a crime
Yet you are still every hurting stem
And you'll push a limit!

Causing my heart to dropp as it may now sag
Watching the time go by again as it shall lag
For you are the reason why a love is not due
And I may hope one day I find a solitary clue!

Leaving me with a gloom
Leaving me with a gloom
How I guess it doesn't matter because life drools
For you're the excuse that I give when I can't omit a rule

Battling the odds when I cannot even hold you dear
Hoping that you'll realise that you caused my tear!
Ah, got me with an aura so colourful
No chance of beating the game whilst I feel small

Leaving me with a gloom
Leaving me with a gloom
How I guess it doesn't matter because life drools
For you're the excuse that I give when I can't omit a rule

One night!
Ah, you're why I struggle when you ignore
Stuck without a win on a record
Battle against the wind with a pound
Bet you won't see tears as the lonesome sound

Leaving me with a gloom (due to your cause)
Leaving me with a gloom
How I guess it doesn't matter because life drools
For you're the excuse that I give when I can't omit a rule

But so!
Leaving me with a gloom
Ah, leaving me with a gloom
Leaving me with a gloom
Leaving me with a gloom
How I guess it doesn't matter because life drools
For you're the excuse that I give when I can't omit a rule
