Across the sea, a different shore,
The US eyes turn, wanting more.
The Indo-Pacific, wide and vast,
A rising power, holding fast.
NATO's strength, a fading gleam?
A partnership, or just a dream?
Old promises, may start to bend,
New friendships forged, until the end.
The world will watch, with bated breath,
As loyalties face life and death.
A changing tide, a shifting ground,
Where will we be, when all is found?
