Legacy Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Legacy

Not gold or things we leave behind,
Define the worth we truly find.
Not houses grand, nor pockets deep,
But seeds of kindness that we keep.

A hand held out, a listening ear,
A smile to chase away all fear.
A life that touched, a heart that cared,
A burden lightened, trouble shared.

Let memories bloom, a fragrant art,
Of love and lessons in the heart.
Let kindness ripple, strong and true,
A legacy of 'me' in you.

Forget the wealth I leave to see,
Remember who I tried to be.
That's all I ask, that's all I crave,
The difference that my life gave.
