Something for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
I never thought I would share in your legacy.
A Time for a Change came to my mind,
and it had to be penned with eloquent desire,
and absorbing taste, getting high statue rates.
You were the harmony on everyone's plate,
even hope for us on a date.
Legacy became apparent during the march of 2006,
since then, this nation has been fixed.
However, I must admit,
that the economy is still on a glitz.
Yet, we are getting refocused and marching on.
Our song still is, 'I Feel Like Going On.'
The freedom list is still long, and future civil rights leaders are being born.
Dr. King, you are legacy left on a front page....
Spades kept many us from gettin played.
Your speeches you would constantly seranade us and propel to be a better people and hope for someone's tomorrow.
You bridged the gap, although loved ones were lost in sorrow.
You are still here, and hope for tomorrow.
Dr. King, the man with one powerful dream,
is Legacy left on a front page....
