Lessons Of A Squirrel. Poem by Dietra Reid

Lessons Of A Squirrel.

Looking at the squirrels playing made me smile.
It was a pretty spring day.
They were so joyful I wanted
too join them.
So I was silly enough to ask in my imagination.

Do you know what they said.
'Only after you worked hard to prepare for the winter.' said
one squirrel.
The other squirrels nodded in agreement.
Back out of my daydream the
lesson was learned.

'Work first, then play.
