Let Down Poem by Taylor Rosewood

Let Down

A let down is a drizzle
of tiny cold drops,
beaded and clear
on a tattered soft top,
that flaps and slaps
in a bone chilling wind,
converting your mood
from hopeful to grim,
because you planned for sun
but got rain instead,
and now you're cold
and your nose is red,
running down your face
and not letting up
until it grosses out your date
who says she's had enough
of spending time with a loser
who drives his mom's car,
and doesn't check the weather,
or tip her friends at the bar.
