Let Every Day Be Valentine's Day Poem by Nurul Hoque

Let Every Day Be Valentine's Day

Shafiq Rehman of red rose
I bow before you to bring in such a day
A Red Rose salute to you.
Waves of Atlantic is washing away
The cities, towns and villages of Bangladesh
Of its sophistication and culture
Nudity shamelessly grasping the young minds
Foot of the forest to the beach
Port in the city or village or in the neighborhood
Or behind the kid's playschool
The bloody blues of immodesty
Abusing recklessly
Your youthful body
Hidden in the prehistoric room
What more mystery will be unearthed
Tell me please Father of Rose.
Oh my beloved leader
Western education moulded only your persona
But we have only imitated the obscenity
In disguise of a false show off of love
I will take leave for the remaining three hundred and sixty four days.
