Let Jesus Come

Though gratis is the life to come
Where souls may never die
We still persist on acting dumb
While time goes flashing by

We see them here we watch them there
Falling along the way
Like blinded fools without a share
Of that beyond today

Is it your heart is it your mind?
Is it your fear and doubt?
Is it the stuff you’d leave behind?
That keeps you losing out

Just ask yourself if this will last
These things you now can see
When soon this day will long have past
Where will your laughter be

Let life be more than just in view
Let Heaven make you whole
Let God become full part of you
Through Jesus in your soul

Allow God’s word to set you free
Let truth lay down your course
See Jesus dying on The Tree
And rise with total force

Let wisdom reign, let true love rule
Let Jesus in your heart
Become no more an evil tool
Let Satan swift depart

Let Jesus take away your sin
Let Jesus be your guide
Let Jesus breathe new life within
And come to God inside
