Let Jesus

Rating: 5.0

In life we strive to quench our thirst
Receive of love our fill
But let’s consider Jesus first
And Heaven’s righteous will

Let’s cast aside each mask and guise
Pretentious robes of man
Let wisdom see with probing eyes
Our Lord’s eternal plan

Consider love and love’s intent
God’s hand of saving grace
Death’s reward and life misspent
Ere judgements face to face

Let wisdom lay life’s shadows bare
Let darkness’ reign now cease
So Light The Father has to share
May through our lives increase

Till all God’s children learn to see
Let fruit grow rich and sweet
So love can set the captive free
To sit at Jesus’ feet

For God to reign and be our guide
Let true love wear a crown
Allow His Christ to come inside
And pull our idols down

Let Jesus fill both cup and plate
Let Jesus bless your soul
Right now and at some future date
Allow Him make you whole

Believe in Jesus’ life and death
Accept He’s God’s true Son
Receive in Him God’s living Breath
Through whom life’s race is won
