Let Me Hold You Near Poem by Jakob Joseph

Let Me Hold You Near

so I can dry every single tear,

there is no need to fear.

It doesn’t matter where I sleep,
the thought of you ill always keep,

my feelings run oh so deep.

For you ill care,

even if life isn’t fair,

you’re an answered prayer.

Hearing the ticking of many clocks,

and the pendulum that rocks,

my pain it seemingly mocks.

I know it sounds wack,

but to me you make white from black,

you fill in what I lack.

So I want to hold you near,

I never want you to fear,

Ill always be here.

Under this star,

this is who we are,

you sore so far above my bar.

Watching car after car pass me bye,

watching humanity cry,

and person after person lie.

So why,
why is it me and you have such faith in the other,
it’s not a cover,

I think we really fell for each other.
