Let Me Live Poem by Oke Emiri

Let Me Live

In search of serenity, plenty are loosing it
Loosing minds
Loosing loved ones
Loosing sanity
Loosing innocence
Loosing peace

So please just let me be
I'd rather sleep
I just wanna breathe
But my migraines getting worse,
Scared my breath might skip

Deaths everyday I'm not immune
No one knows when their time is near
Death's a popular affair
I'd rather not take the trip there
No one's there
Hope you're aware

Dark pastel room
Can't handle resounding gloom
Stress my inescapable doom

Laugh and drink forget fears
A very cheerful mirth
Still drowned in emptiness
Finding a purpose, feels like playing chess
