Let’s Worship The Lord

What form of worship ought we bring?
When Fire burns inside
When love implodes through words we sing
As Jesus faithful bride

Lost souls we see on every street
In town and country lane
How can we sit as God’s elite?
And worship so in vain

How can we sit and hate our next
Neighbours far or near
How can we worship Christ so vexed
And show Him godly fear

How should we worship God on high?
How can our soul be blessed?
Watching the hungry outside die
Whilst we in churches rest

How can we worship God Within?
How can flee our graves
How can we say we combat sin?
When kids are sold as slaves

How can we show The Lord we care?
How can we serve His plan?
When prostitution’s everywhere
And man lies down with man

In spirit; says The Lord most high
In truth; our God reveals
By helping those who else would die
With lodging clothes and meals

In spirit and as Lord has planned
In truth as God dictates
Let’s worship till The Promised land
Opens to us its gates
