Let Us.... Poem by Minnie Gehrig

Let Us....

Rating: 5.0

Come than and give me your hand,
lets now step off this, flat world,
We will trust our weight wholly to the air,
Or growing wings begin to fly,
Or falling into the blue waters
ruled by the mighty poiseden we
will grow tails and swim below,
and gander at all the long forgotten treasures of
brave sailors, and take from there bones the trinkets
of there wives and lovers,
Perhaps it will be the dark underworld we find ourselves in,
and in the winter we will sit with persephene
eat the monthly seeds of pomegranite
and return in spring
when once again the land is warm, and receptive
to loves graces.
