Let's Enjoy The Journey Poem by R. H. Peat

Let's Enjoy The Journey

Let's Enjoy the Journey:

You stopped me on the tracks;
I slipped on the butter —
fell into the pancake batter.

I've got my brakes set now.
I'd love to laugh with you
within a live— movie scene.

I'm not a couch potato
I'm more like an aggressive
turnip: or snappy sweet yam.

I'm half crazy, just doing
what I like to be doing.
I'm wildly insane doing you.

Laughter puts the train
back on its tracks in minutes—
horn echoing up the slope.
