Let's Fix This Spider's Web Poem by Mark. A Heathcote

Let's Fix This Spider's Web

Let's fix this spider's web.
That holds all of us together.
I'll take one corner; you can take another.
Don't look at me that way.
Don't give me those daggers,
Don't give me those looks,
Or I'll speak to Mother.

I wonder where Father's at?
I don't even see his hat.
And the cat has mysteriously vanished.
With its saucer of milk
And the mice are all dancing.
Beneath a gallows moon
Pull tighter your corner
There is too much slack and not nearly enough room.
