Letter To My Future Husband Poem by Thabitha Marakalala

Letter To My Future Husband

Letter to my future hubby

To the puzzle of my heart
Inspiration to these piece of art
I hope you get this letter in time
Cause my ink it's losing its rhyme
For years
I have been whispering my sweetest words to deaf ears
For years
My poems have been painted with tears

To the love of my life
He who will take away my strife
For days I Been thinking of you
Wondering if you thinking of me too
Are you caged in wrong arms?
Wishing that the wind could just sweep you away to a place of no harms
Are you swallowing your tear
Wishing your knight in shinning armor would suddenly appear

Bruised and confused
You just don't know where to look
Are you in so much pain
That you counting your scars over and over again
Are you in so much vain
That your smile can't cover the hurt stain

I know you have lost hope
In ever finding love
I know you have given up
That's why you taking So long
To get to my heart
Just know my love
Am here waiting for you

Broken and scarred
I will take you in my arms
Shuttered and bruised
I will mend you with my love
I'll hold you closer to my chest
To the beat of my heart you will rest
I'll build a wall around your heart
And ensure its beats never part

To the king of my heart
Where ever you are
Just know I do exist
If you don't make it to me
I will make it to you
I'll keep searching
Till a poet runs out of rhymes...
