The hand releases what it tried to bind,
A trembling trust in winds that cannot stay;
The heart learns peace in leaving past behind,
And watches sorrow slowly drift away.
Though memories cling like shadows on the wall,
Their grip grows faint beneath the rising sun;
To let go is to answer life's soft call,
And find new roads where broken paths are done.
