Lfmm (Learn From My Mistakes) Poem by Rowan Welch

Lfmm (Learn From My Mistakes)

Once again, I travel broken.
Given the words to progress, unspoken-
Had I left the message, the token,
Awoken for minutes, nay, hours,
Alas my temporal try will pester the powers-
Initially forged to triumph, not cower-
‘Neath leaves of dark color-
Preventing a father from signing his brand new release.

Release from the torment of immature factors;
Scowling at thoughts that ever were adult-
To any mere fellow whose life is seemed, now, her’s;
Returning to patterns, a non-ending default.
So listen here carefully, my humble reader,
That even most complex complexes have triggers,
And at the time you become willing and able-
To recognize said symbolism, the fatal-
ends meet the means, and they join into song-
Like there was never wrong; -
Through the rabbit hole gone:
You must never forget your own name.
