Liberty Bell Poem by Robert Earl Wolfe

Liberty Bell

Liberty Bell
I ring the bell of liberty
And ask you come and fight
I say look deep inside your heart
Do what you think is right
Hold your head up high and think
Don't be someone's fool
Stand up for the people's rights
You are not another's tool
We all must stand together
To end this crazy rain
Both these major parties
Are nothing but a pain.
Both just want your money
Offer nothing in return
We need new players in this game
Who offer more than spurn
Come and take your freedom back
For it has been drained away
You're told it's for security
But freedom is what you pay
And it erodes quite quickly
Each and every day
The laws they pass are not for them
Only you and me
When will you open up your eyes
When is it you will see
They leave nothing for the rest of us
These powers that now be.
