Lies Poem by Roxanna Ackerman

Lies

Blinded at birth
You open your eyes,
to see new faces,
Unaware of their lies...

Growing up may seem hard
listening to their lies,
Naieve of this world,
looking through innocent eyes.

Now aware as a teen
making your own ties,
You're no longer innocent,
as you create your own lies...

Adulthood is tough
saying your goodbyes,
It's time to move on,
It's time for more lies.

Now lying in bed
as you're closing your eyes,
Now innocent and dieing,
Old age is your demise...

Life is full of lies...
