Lies - Poem by Morgan Michaels

What the sweet birds sing
isn't wholly true:
that you have wasted your life.

Liked this one, short and sweet! No one ever truly wastes their life, their beginnings were innocent and pure to start with, living life is difficult and not all can achieve their purposes because they get side-tracked by drugs, alcohol, lust, greed, corruption, etc. But we can always hold on to the beauty of out beginnings and try to re-establish them again once we realize what we're doing. Guess my comment ended up longer than your poem! Ha Ha! Thank you for sharing it, as you can see it made me really think about things. RoseAnn (Report) Reply
