Life - Poem by Marguerite Theriot Lemoine

How precious is the life
God gave us.
How much we really
cherish it.
To take a life
is such a waste.
To give a life
is such a blessing.
Should not we be
all that God ask us?
He gave his life
that we might have it.
That faith and hope
and love continue.
The rock on which
We built our country.
