Life - Poem by Nipuni Shashirangani

Life starts,
As the dawn of the sun, making
the whole world wondering.
A flower bud blossoms on May.
Life ends,
as the sunset, leaving memories
in beloved’s hearts
as the red color in the evening sky
as the footprints lied over on sea shore,
As a maiden flower bud,
a man begins to enjoy the fruit of life.
Between the warmth, love and affection of parents,
Unity and peace from friends,
As a plant needs water and manure to grow up.
Different stages passing.
As a butterfly meets various flowers
On his way of seeking honey,
A man come across different kinds of people
On his journey of life.
In loneliness with tears.
In happiness with smiles.
This life is magical.
Sometimes,
The life is a petal blowing with wind.
Sometimes
Life is a cherry of a mountain tree.
But,
Can we give a meaning?
To this stupendous life
In one word?
Give a meaning?
In one word?
Can we?
