Life Poem by GORDON BUTCHERS

Life

An old man looks back
Over the many years,
Reminiscing of the old times
The laughter and the tears.

His life seems to have rushed by
Like some speeding train,
He wonders if he had the chance
Would he ride that train again? .

Looking out at his garden
Where his children used to play,
Looking out in disbelief
For it seemed like only yesterday.

Time has passed by
Where has all the years gone? .
For his life was like only a blink of an eye
For life is short not long.
