Life Poem by Brandon Shadows

God came down to me tonight with a shining crown of gold...and as He sat upon my bed my life story he told...
He told me how I'd grow up to do many great things...He told me how much I meant to him and what my future brings...
He said I'd live to see the person I would grow to be...He said that I would grow up to be the very best. He told me I would be so rich then throw it all away...He said I'd live out on the streets until my dying day.
To this I knew not what to say, I simply stopped and stared...then God began to speak again, knowing that I cared. 'Your life is one I gave to you...I give you every breath. I cannot say how you'll live your life, but do your very best.'
