Life Poem by Samarendranath Mahapatra

Life

My life is a drop of tears
Don't ask me a garland of laughing flowers
From where shall I catch starry dreams
My eyes are poured with enough darkness.

Will you take some burntbones of dark night
Pieces of shattered dreams
Shies of drowsy eyes
Rusted emotions of frustrated minds?

I have seen the falling down of
Skyscrapers of hopes
at the twilight hours of my life
When bloods in my heart cried
pinching the nerves over my chest.

Still I live
in the painful lanes of life
Shivering and shivering I wipe the wounds
At the bloodshed of silent souls.
