Life Back Home Poem by Jordan Antrim

Life Back Home

I use to live a life in the cold
a place I felt alone
where nothing I did was condoned
all I could think about were the years I had blown.
I sat like a drone
in the dark, I felt like a mark on
the face of a world under debate
and at the rate
I was traveling down
I was going to drown
but in my moment of gloom
I was pulled up from my doom
and put on a path
that no longer felt the wrath
of my past.
At last
I felt like I was free
I could finally see
all the things that now make me
believe that life is great!
I am no longer filled with hate.
