Life From Garbage

Rating: 5.0

A rustling wind blew up one day
From Garbage on the street
“To endless life, just walk this way
And sit at Jesus feet”

I turned the paper in my hand
I read the other side
That God could lead to understand
Why Jesus came and died

Of course at first I had to smile
The bible’s just a book
But after thinking for a while
I thought I’d take a look

The tract had said to start at John
Verse one until the end
Reading of Jesus Christ God’s Son
Revealed Him as a friend

What joy I found God’s word to read
Such miracles divine
Christ came to die a Holy Seed
To make salvation’s mine

It’s mine; because to God I’ve turned
Repented from my shame
Through Jesus’ Ghost The Truth I’ve learned
And trust His awesome name

I must at admit ’twas hard at first
My neighbours thought I’d fail
Friends thought that I to death was cursed
Being in Satan’s jail

But now I’m free and free I’ll stay
Thank Christ my Lord and friend
I’ll walk with Him Salvation Way
Until the very end
