Life In Yellow Poem by Kayt Krepcho

Life In Yellow

i feel the dull throbbing of my intestines
and the salivation in my mouth.
my jaw aches.
i bury my head in my shirt and open my eyes
everything is tinted yellow
like the shirt that i am wearing,
the one that is yours.
my skin looks beautiful under the canopy
from the soft circles of my breasts to
the cavern of my belly button dipping to
the roundness of my belly and
the mole on my side, the tattoos,
the purple lace of my panties.
i am satisfied smelling my skin,
a familiar mixture of milk and amber.
i wish everything in life was tinted yellow.
