Life Is A Tour Bus Poem by Kenneth Emerton

Life Is A Tour Bus

Rating: 2.0

A tour bus travels for a while, and then goes back to where it began
Life is like a tour bus, racing against The Man.
It all begins before we’re alive, and I guess you could call that dead,
Then we’re born and we can’t do anything, but we hope we get ahead.
A few years later we learn to walk, and it changes our whole lives,
Because now we begin our journey, exploring inside and out, even wildlife.
Our childhood is full of curiosity and wonder,
It’s like we’re in a movie, and we’re a young actor.
When we turn 13 we think that we know all there is to know,
Then we do something stupid, and once again, down the road we go.
At the end of the tour, we die again, and it’s like we were never here,
So that’s why I’m gonna party hard, as long as I am here.
