Life Is Daily, You And Me, Poem by Mohammad Yousef

Life Is Daily, You And Me,

By Mohammad A. Yousef

Life is daily, you and me,
two souls woven in this fabric,
each day a new thread added,
each moment like a drop of dew,
shining quietly on the grass,
waiting for the sun to lift it higher,
to remind us of our place,
under the wide, open sky.

Respect it, this journey we share—
it's not in the grand gestures,
the fireworks that explode and fade,
but in the soft, glowing embers,
the gentle nods,
the laughter shared over spilled milk,
the silence cozy enough to hold us,
like a blanket on a chilly night.

In the morning light,
when coffee brews and toast pops,
let's breathe in gratitude,
for the simple beauty around us:
the way your eyes dance when you speak,
the way we laugh over old jokes,
the way "busy" loses its meaning,
when time slows just for us.

Look at the little things,
a walk under the cherry blossoms,
where petals stir like whispers,
reminding us of how fleeting it all is,
of moments we collect like seashells—
each one telling a story,
of yesterday, of tomorrow,
of love, respect, and growth.

So here we are—
you and me, together,
hands steady, heart open,
like the sky before the rain.
Let's keep it raw, real,
embracing the small peaks,
and the valleys we sometimes stumble through,
knowing every step brings us closer,
to understanding this dance we call life.

For life is daily, you and me,
a rhythm led by respect—
it's the thread that binds,
the song that sings,
made vibrant in everyday moments,
the pulse deep within our words,
soft as a smile,
resilient as the earth beneath our feet.

Let's hold close this pact—
to see, to hear, to touch
with kindness that never fades,
to cherish, to nurture,
in the tapestry of you and I,
woven together on this wild canvas,
each brushstroke, each splash of color
woven with intention, respect, and love.
