Life’s Trials

Because of trials, God’s children fall
With eyes to truth still blind
Thinking in church they’ve left them all
With sin and shame behind

But nowhere does the bible say
In Christ we’re trouble free–Jn.16: 33
So many trials remain today
As all the world can see

Not always is it Satan though
The Father tests us too
He wants to see how far we’ll go
What yet on earth we’ll do –Jdg.2: 22

The difference, when we understand
Means life when void of shame
Means living as The Father planned
Or endless death in flame

Until in Christ, we’ve passed life’s test
The Lord, no trial may spare
We’re in the world like all the rest
And with them, all to share

Life’s trials is what its all about
The heights and depths within
Who’ll overcome the fear and doubt
Must rise above the sin

No need in trials to show dismay
Nor fear the devil’s sword
It’s not on earth and not today
We’ll claim our just reward

So cast through faith, life’s mountains down
Hold fast Salvation’s hand
Receive the victor’s hallowed crown
And reign with Christ His Land…
