The essential nature of being alive and being human
is to experience life in its purest form
the wins and losses, celebrations and challenges,
and the good with the bad.

I know what it is like to be lost in the abyss of darkness
To be without hope and no possibility of light shining through.
It is in this place that your soul speaks to you
you realize that you are not your circumstances.

Everything you are going through,
every struggle, pain or hardship, is a gift
because it is in this struggle
that you are brought to your knees,
and you question the purpose of your life.

When you are in that dark place
looking for a way out,
you are faced with two choices:
give up or fight
come through it stronger
and more humble than you were before.

Through darkness comes light,
through pain comes triumph.
