Light At Dawn Poem by Buxton Shippy

Light At Dawn

Light at dawn
The wounds are healing
Years on the beaten paths.
Strike
Mountain peaks where life began.
Distant
Evening approaches, still
No echo remaining
Where ancestors wail
Even at the seas crowning.
