Would Jesus Like This? - Poem by Buxton Shippy

If you are in pain,
Let me say a prayer,
Then take you to a healer.
If you are hungry,
I will not pray,
Let me feed you.
If you are naked,
I will not take you to the sanctuary,
Let me give you my coat.
If you are despised,
Let me quote you a good word.
If you are lonely,
Let me be your friend.
If you are lost,
Let me lead you to the Savior.
After all you have done for me,
Why should I be ashamed of you?

Yes, Jesus would like this. It is exactly what he preaches. (Report) Reply

Well done Buxton. Oh what a soul stirring write.
Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, these are some of
the things we should do to help our brothers and
sisters. We are our brothers keeper. Amen!
