Light The Match To Start Up My Heart Poem by Daniel Thomason

Light The Match To Start Up My Heart

This feeling is much more than a heartache,
It's much more than a burning desire to find gold,
Because that something is nearest to paradise,
Where our two hearts will forever grow old

Underneath that sky we gaze upon,
Our eyes ignore the view,
Because when we gaze into eachother's eyes,
It is only me and you

God smiles as we take our hands,
Hold them, tender warmth,
The bells sing all through the world we sought,
And echoes where we're torn
Echoes where we're torn

Light the match to start up my heart,
So you can see that burning flame,
I can light up the world,
To resemble the sun,
But this light is only yours

When my light grows dim,
And it gets cold,
Just let me hold you so close,
Now you'll feel the love,
Oh, that burning love,
This love that you'll get first,
Last...
