Like A Desert Gecko Poem by Rohit Ghoshal

Like A Desert Gecko

What is left here is for the big.
This land is hostile and implacable,
In search salvation I have reached my limits,
During my long life I have walked many a miles,
Now I will take my last few steps alone.
Bewildered in this fast growing heat of commotion
I will be stranded.
As dusk falls and I can sense an unbreakable bond
between a forgotten tide and corpses that have washed up shore.
This arid valley is one for those who are ready to eat carrion.
