Like A Dredful Dream Poem by ANTONY PULLEN

Like A Dredful Dream

Blood stained foot-prints
Spread along the streets,
Rolled along the foot prints,
Nose and SPECTACLES.
Street dogs ran fast,
Carried in their jaws,
Palm that lost the grip,
And detached from the body.
Vultures in the sky-
Human hearts in their beaks,
Dripping blood from the sky.
Like showering flowers
On the diminishing foot prints.
Sukling childs mouth
Filled with oozed from
Numb breasts of her mother.
A baby hurried to escape
Captivity of the womb of mother,
Already lost her head,
To witness a free INDIA.
Can any body paint anything,
More on the terrifying picture.
With draw your eyes,
Not to see the fallen flowers.
Pray that be a myth,
Or adread ful dream,
And never a truth.
