Like We Never Met Poem by Thobela Pepeta

Like We Never Met

How did we get it all wrong?
Together we used to be so strong.
We'd never let a break take so long.
Where did it all go wrong?
You were the woman I'd die for.
I was the man you'd live for. Yet now all that is gone.

I now have to change my plans.
Yet you were the only woman who cares.
A day wouldn't pass without seeing you laugh.
Your touch would cure my rash.
Thought we were a good match.
Yet departed like we never met.

Like Wifi we had a strong connection.
We parried, now left with thoughts collection.
I wasn't aware of the termination.
Was it of the result of temptation?
I don't know.
Where did it really go wrong?
Nobody knows.
I hate the day I was born.
I curse the day you were born.
I'm glad I never wrote you a song.
And I pray to meet somebody better than you.
Somebody who won't abandon me for money like you.

I LOVED YOU.
