Like You Poem by gregory hillman

Like You

Love a hopeless thing
Caught in the current
Mangled by rocks and dark dreadful things
Ripping at me

Thin blood marbles the pool
Catching no one’s attention but everyone’s pity
I am alone
Wanting more

I perceive great things
Greater are these things sought by gentler things
I don’t want to love anymore
