Limitations Poem by RIC BASTASA

we think of changing
we promise new things
we entertain new visions
of the self
and yet at the end of the day
we stumble on the same mistake
and haggle on the same regret
well,
we have no plan of killing ourselves
we are mature people
we love mistakes
learn from them
and have the same courage
to repeat them
all over again

nothing but reality
and that is the truth
we are mature people
and we understand
our human nature
