Lingering Poem by Marisa Unknown

Lingering

His skin glows like the moonlight,
never fading to dawn.
His scent, unlike most, I carry with me
through out my day just to remind myself
why my mind lingers of only him.
When I hear his voice, my heart skips a beat
and leaps when he whispers my name.
He makes me feel alone in a crowded room.
Every hug, every kiss.
Some call it fate but I call it love.
But when he's gone, I look down at my hands
wondering how his fit mine just so perfectly.
When He's with me I feel wanted and needed.
I feel warmth and safety.
But yet I feel scared, knowing hes the only one in the world
who could possibly break my heart.
