Lingering Shadows Poem by Ezenwa Geoffrey

Lingering Shadows

Lingering Shadows

I thought I left it far away, but shadows lingered near
Found myself in the night's hollow, with no one to hear
Waked up in my bed of roses, but the roses were all dead
Memories haunt, like petals scattered, bruised and no longer sober
Life is a mystery, mystery screamed the young man
