Lips Like Glass Poem by Kathryn Garner

Lips Like Glass

he remebered how her lips felt like glass
and thats when he knew
but he still felts the shards from the past
a fix with some glue
but her lips,
were still so smooth

it was then he knew he could break her
destroy her to his knees
but in her lips, he felt so sure
of what they could be
she was like glass

temptation overcame him in a dead sky
and every night he loved his sin
instead of her, but in her lips he was so sure...

but his indulgence
left no room for repentance
until the deeds were complete
thats when he noticed
the broken glass at his feet
