Love Is Love - Poem by Kathryn Garner

come save me
theres something more to me
shes got it in a promise ring
given by her love
promise or dream?
just a dream when he says hes done...
done with love

its more real
than ive ever cried before
its in the glint of the chip of diamond
it means so much more
dont make a promise the end
i need more than a diamond

diamonds are only promises
love is love
born from death
love is love
cant just give me a diamond
you gotta give me the rest
love is love
diamonds dont mean your done
your never done with love

your never done with love kid
love is love
diamonds arnt something you did
your missing the point
theres more
nothing for diamonds
loves something to live for

wake up middle age and spent
asking yourself where she went
a diamond aint a chain
and love isnt a game
love is love
it aint ever done
the same story aint ever done
our love is our love
more than a ringing diamond
love is love
your never done with love
