Lipstick On A Pig Poem by Bryan Corbett

Lipstick On A Pig

gone are the days of Jefferson
gone are the days of Lincoln
gone are the days of Kennedy
gone are the days of Reagan

today, the best that America
has to offer me at the voting booth
is Trump, Cruz, Clinton, or Sanders
none of which are fit to tie
Lincoln's shoes, and
to this ole' simple-minded
southern boy
it just feels like putting
lipstick on a pig
